The son of a local contractor returns to the coastal community he grew up in to start a new business he knows so well. His interest was hardware, as he remembered the trips with his dad to the local hardware store where friends came to meet and everyone knew your name. But times change and with the onset of the big box stores, his challenge was how to compete with them. LUNDY was requested to rebrand his store and find a way to help his business grow.
The project was centered on a local owner in the community who truly understood the requirements for construction and home improvement projects in a coastal environment. With a look and feel emblematic to hardware, Lundy positioned the brand to be the place to go to when customers need the tools and supplies to “Build It Island Tough”. The brand offers unique tools and supplies needed in a coastal environment, personal attention, and stocking of items large home improvement stores did not have. Combined with free same day delivery to the job site and stocking products needed for daily projects closer to home, since the onset of the rebrand, the impact was immediate
